Dealing with Suicide and Self Harm
A half- or (preferably) one-day training session which will give participants a clearer understanding of the issues involved in working with people who harm themselves AND/OR threaten or attempt suicide. Please note that our materials for this particular session have been fully reviewed by an “Expert by Experience” (ie someone who has personal experience of self harm and suicide attempts).
Anyone working in a health and/or social care setting. Please note these are sensitive issues. Self harm and suicide can occur amongst social care workers, and their friends and families as well as amongst their service users. Potential participants who have very personal experience of these issues outside of work should think carefully about whether or not to attend.
Venue and timings
Your own training room; we suggest 10.00am – 4.30pm (9.30am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 4.30pm for half day sessions)
